Hi Turningboy, you can look at the back of your turing tumble box to see some instructions on how the parts work. You can also look at some other conversations for help or ideas. I can tell you some more things later when I find out more things about it.

If you visit the Turing Tumble main site, the Education section has a Resources subsection with some material you may find helpful for teaching yourself about the device.
