Laser Cut Bit - GearBit

My laser cut Bit…can be made into a GearBit by adding a gear on top.

Wow! That’s really cool. What material did you use?

Acrylic which happened to be 1/2 the thickness needed. Lasers don’t cut a perpendicular to the surface (slightly off) so cutting the 2 halves as mirrors of each other will create a slight trough when put together. The holes were cut by the laser and then tapped using a regular tap. The machine screws used are 4-40. I need to beef up the wings to get a better cut…

Wow that works better than the original. That extra weight on top makes it stay solidly after it flips.
